On the Big Island, Big Island Freedom Fest – Paddle & Play is envisioned as a Fourth of July

concert series tied to a major paddle boarding event, creating a “day on the water, night on

the music” holiday experience. The concept pairs daytime paddle races and ocean

activations with an evening 4:00–9:30 pm concert, targeting 4,000–7,000 attendees and

emphasizing family-friendly shoreline programming, sponsor-branded keiki zones.
